On Monday 1st June, Luke and Sachin from Legend Exhibitions (Essential Retail’s parent company) spoke at the Tech City Talent Development Event, at Bloomberg on Finsbury Square in Moorgate, London.

There was a host of speakers talking about the advantages of hiring apprentices in the workplace, including BBC, Microsoft and bSkyb.

We took part in the Q&A panel session, speaking about our experiences of hiring an apprentice.  We had very positive things to say, seeing as Sachin won the Social Media Apprentice of the Year award, was taken on full time and we’re soon to be welcoming Aiyush, our second apprentice, into the world of Legend Exhibitions.

We particularly enjoyed hearing from Joshua Uwadiae (above), a very impassioned speaker and prolific business person!

The event was very well attended, and we hope that all the attendees will have gone away with the knowledge that an apprenticeship could be the right way forward for them, whether a job seeker or an employer.
