MasterCard in call to innovative European start-ups

MasterCard is inviting innovative start-ups from across Europe to apply for the next edition of Start Path Europe, which is a programme focused on providing new businesses with the support and expertise needed to overcome key challenges and grow.

Start Path Europe is a 12-month scheme providing start-ups with customised support to solve specific priorities for each company. Participating start-ups receive mentorship from a global pool of MasterCard experts, introductions to MasterCard partners to explore pilot opportunities, and the use of existing MasterCard solutions whether that’s emerging payment technologies, loyalty or security products.

Up to eight companies from across Europe will be selected to participate in this year’s Start Path initiative, which kicks off in April 2015. Start Path is open to companies working on innovations and solutions to aid commerce.

Interested parties must apply by 19 February by visiting this website.

Stephane Wyper, global lead of MasterCard Start Path, commented: “Start Path Europe is unique, because we tailor the support to match the individual needs of a start-up, rather than applying a one size fits all approach.

“Our goal is the success of each startup and helping them grow faster than they could on their own.”

Last year’s Start Path participants included Ridango, Zencard, Xpreso, Instabank, MePin, and Storee.
