Mobile innovation in Asia

Social media apps, computer vision technologies and universal payment systems – the western world can learn a lot about mobile innovation from Asia, according to an article on Econsultancy.com by David Skerrett, managing partner for mobile marketing agency Nimbletank.

In the article, Skerrett lists “eight inspirational examples of mobile innovation from Asia”, and he suggests that China and India, in particular, are gaining traction with new technologies in the mobile space.

“Asian mobile marketing is riding high on the back of some inspiring new innovations, from saving your life (Samsung), to saving you money (PricePanda), to staying in touch (Weixin & Line), to bragging about your swag (Pinco & Nice),” he writes.

“It’s all happening.”
