Reports from the US suggest that Starbucks is determined to allow customers to make orders via the coffee chain’s mobile app.
Tech reviews and analysis website Re/code spoke to Starbucks chief digital officer Adam Brotman at a recent Fortune magazine technology conference in Colorado, and the retail boss suggested that plans are in place for one geographical market to test pick-up orders from the app, later this year.
“We will do this and we will get it right,” Brotman told Re/code in an interview following his presentation at the event.
Starbucks’ is regularly referenced as a retail chain that is leading the way in terms of mobile payment technology. It is reported that over ten million people actively use its mobile app.
